Fortune was a general-purpose group that had several topics of interest from marketing, to graphic design, to gaming and normal lounging.
History
Fortune was a group that didn't go unnoticed during its tenure before being rebranded. The leaders originally announced that they had no intention of accepting buy-ins and that it was going to remain an invite-only group, but that quickly changed as they soon began accepting people for as low as $10 a month. This led to many people buying in just for the userbar, eventually leading to over 200 members within two months.
Similarly to neighboring groups, the spike in members led to a dip in quality, inspiring several forum members to make threads about how low quality the group has become in the Group and Crew General Discussions section. Each of these threads regarding the quality of the group led to the general agreement, but also arguments from some of the members, as well as leaders of the group.
The same drama that overwhelmed the running of the group also beset the sale of the group. Positive Energy had a contract with beslim, who was the owner, that he'd make regular payments with the intention of finally owning the group outright. When Positive Energy couldn’t meet the set payments, eCoLoGy took over said payments to beslim. Positive Energy was then accused of attempting an exit scam, but later replied that he'd pay back anyone he owed money to.
Current Status
Fortune was changed to Pirates on behalf of eCoLoGy.
