After a disagreement between [[Omniscient]] and Tibit, Tibit opted to have his account closed and his group, Phoenix, sold. The auction of Phoenix was managed by Omniscient and was sold strictly for [[BTC]] only, a crypto currency.

It was after this auction that Debug came to be. It is, however, noted that while Debug does share some of it's history with Phoenix, if only in how it was bought, the it is an entirely different group, with different focuses and goals.

Introduction

Debug is a group which will help Hack Forums members learn how to code.

History

Debug rose in the wake of an argument involving Tibit, owner of the group Phoenix, and Omniscient. Omniscient took ownership of the group and enacted a Bitcoin auction; Tibit would receive the profit of the sale, and refunded any Phoenix member who had purchased spots in the group. 'Porygon emerged as the highest bidder, with a bid of 31.5 BTC (at the time of sale, this was equal to $6835.5 USD).

Debug's aims are to teach other Hack Forums members how to code in one or more of many different languages so that they can pursue professional coding careers or profit from their coding knowledge in various ways.

'Porygon sold the group to ๖ۣۜNex on May 31st, 2015; the Debug name remained the same as stipulated by the sale. [1]

Current Status

The group is currently restructuring itself in order to put equal emphasis on learning how to code and how to profit from coding.

  • Leadership positions are for sale, as of July 13th, 2015.
