Introduction

If debugging is the process of removing bugs, then programming must be the process of putting them in.

History

After Tibit’s account closure, Omniscient took control of Phoenix and listed it for auction. This is where ‘Fox’s presence was made fully aware. Coming in by the storm, ‘Fox purchased Phoenix for 31.5 BTC, which was then equivalent to $6835.

Debug, easily recognizable by the notorious group name, was a group based on coding and the furthering advancement of one’s ability to do so. On February 26, 2015, ‘Fox founded the group in efforts to bring awareness and assistance to the heavily conversed topic of coding. At the time, Debug’s goals were very apparent. Group owner, ‘Fox, along with the original leaders, ‘Snorlax, AnonNinja™, and Roger Waters created an informational thread stating that their true goal is to teach members of the Hack Forums community how to code in several languages. This was mainly fueled by the reasoning of assistance, stating that being knowledgeable in more than one language could prove to be beneficial regarding careers as a software developer.

Debug outshined many user groups in this era, by its surplus of coding tutorials provided by the hardworking members. Not only were there many tutorials released in the team’s name, but along with this came a wave of recruitment threads being provided to anyone interested. The courses highlighted on topics such as coding, AutoIT, .NET Framework, C++, PHP, Java, Javascript, Python, Delphi, White Hat Malware, HTML & CSS, Networking, and many, many others. After applying, being accepted, and paying the steep $150 entry fee, students would be assigned a list of teachers. Students would be provided instructors based on the information listed on their application. Strict rules were also a breaking point for some members. Stating that you will be kicked if you were to skip class, waste time, or not provide full effort towards a course; no refunds would be given out.

After ‘Fox’s reign and ownership of the group, he decided to hand it off to his fellow leader, Nex+, for undisclosed reasons. Though Nex+’s intentions were not as clear nor genuine concerning forwarding the group in the same way ‘Fox did, he kept the group as is nonetheless.

Current Status

The group was purchased by the user Nex+ and later on rebranded to Divine.
