Biography
Having heard about Hack Forums from an old friend, the user Cody joined on November 24, 2011 with the intention of lurking. However, after spending some time browsing the site and becoming aware of what Hack Forums had to offer, he quickly started increasing his activity and after a few weeks of deliberation, purchased L33t while wondering if Hack Forums would be something he would enjoy using, which, as it turns out,
...was and is something I enjoy using regularly.
Drawing on his firsthand experience of Hack Forums, Cody then sent a request to the user Daisy--with whom he had a previous relationship with--to join Hack Forums, marking the start of what would be and is one of the most famous partnerships on the forum.
After firmly establishing himself on Hack Forums, Cody set many goals for himself as a member, the most prioritized of which were to be approved for Ub3r membership, hitting 1000 reputation points and becoming an all-around nice member on the forum. While all three goals have been fulfilled at this point in time, Cody, having purchased Ub3r on June 27, 2012 (after around six months), said:
One of the goals that now feels insignificant would be me being approved for Ub3r. Although I enjoy being Ub3r, and I am honored that I was accepted, it seems now that it's not too important with what I do on Hack Forums. If I wasn't Ub3r I'd still be able to do what I do now.
His greatest achievement to date could be said to be the co-ownership of the group 143 with Daisy.
Ever since joining Rhythm, Cody and Daisy began to have serious thoughts about owning a group, eventually contacting Omniscient before the limit on purchased groups was put into place. After choosing the name 143, which stands for the phrase "I love you" it was decided the focus of the group would be "giving", in whatever form. When asked to speak on the status of the group as it is, he had only one thing to say.
I'm more than pleased how 143 is currently, having become a great group with tons of support. We've had ups and downs but in the end I couldn't ask to 'own' a better group.
Part of the reason the group 143 is kept running efficiently and well is due to a philosophy which both he and Daisy live by. The constant organization of thoughts and constant updates on the actions they plan to take results in them acting in the same manner as often as possible. The key to his and Daisy’s success can be summed up in the following sentence.
No matter what we set out to do, we will talk on the phone about when, how and why it needs to be done.
