Awards
Hack Forums has a custom plugin made by Omniscient which allows users to obtain awards, well more specifically they are given out.
Getting Awards
All awards are given out by Omniscient only. He is the only person who can give out awards on Hack Forums. [b]Do not private message him regarding any award, unless it is a donation award.[/b] Do not ask any other administrator or staff member about them either. If Omniscient wishes to give a user an award, he will. At times there will be a recommendation thread created by Omniscient within the Rules, Announcements, News and Feedback section of Hack Forums where you can recommend yourself or someone else for an award. Besides these rare conditions, threads and posts should not be made with respect to obtaining awards.
Nomination Threads
As previously said, the only time users may post recommendations is when Omniscient or another administrator creates a thread regarding it. Members are not to private message suggestions or post their own threads.
The Purpose of Awards
Awards carry their own specific meaning and sentiment, and are given out by Omniscient to give recognition to a user, whether it be good, bad or neutral. To view the reason why an award was gifted, you can view their awards by clicking "Details" in the awards portion of their profile. You can view the overall sentiment of each award can be viewed here.
Donation Awards
Hack Forums gives out awards to people who support the site. If you wish to donate money, you can receive awards. There are four current awards available which you can donate to achieve. Upgrades and paid stickies do not count towards any of the below awards.
- To receive the Emerald Donator Award, members need to donate $20.00 USD or more at a single time.
- To receive the Rich Bitch Award, members need to donate $50.00 USD or more at a single time.
- To receive the Master Donator Award, members must have cumulatively donated $500.00 or more USD in total.
- To receive the Bitcoinage Award, members must donate one BTC.
- To receive the Litecoinage Award, members must donate one LTC.
The Emerald and Rich Bitch awards are both one time donations, meaning in a single donation you need to at least their minimum value. So, to achieve both of these, you need to have donated at least $70.00 USD. This means you will have $70.00 towards your Master Donator award.
To donate, you need to private message Omniscient for the link. He will give you further instructions.
Other Payments
Things such as paid stickies, giveaways to other members, upgrading other members, and other paid things do not count toward your donation total. This also includes the paid Brony award.

We have begun accepting Bitcoin for donation awards. Donations must be made through our BTC processor at the current BTC valuation. If 1 BTC = $120.00 USD then you must donate .418 BTC for the Rich Bitch ($50.00+) award. However be aware that BTC donations do not count toward the Master Donator award unless you make a single BTC donation that brings you over the full $500 amount. Reason being that it's difficult to track donation amounts given the constant fluctuation of the currency.

Gift, Brony, and 24k Awards
- The Gift award is the only award members are allowed to give to each other. As the name implies, it is a gift to someone else. If you truly don't have any friends you can give it to yourself. The award descriptions are either "You bought yourself a gift" or "A gift from MEMBER", where MEMBER is the person who donated. This does not count towards the Master Donator award. Members may give as many Gift awards as they want, but it will only be awarded to a member once.

It is a virtual item that you agree to buy. This award does not count toward the Master Donator award. Also, when Omniscient grants this award he will often roast or flame the user, in good fun. The price is $100.00 USD.

This is the only award with set requirements other than donation and paid awards. If a member with the award goes below 24,000 posts due to pruning, they will lose the award.
The Order of Awards
The order of which the awards appear on your profile is currently unchangeable. However you can have most awards removed, with the exception of things such as Sapphire of Ub3r. Private message Omniscient to have an award moved.
I Meet a Description of An Award
Members may meet the meaning of an award, but this does not ensure they will receive it. No one is entitled to any award besides the ones they donated for, or in the case of Brony paid for.
How to Get An Award
There is nothing members can do specifically to prove they deserve an award. They should not ask what they can do either. Even if other members have done something, you doing the same will not entitle you to an award.
Nominations for Awards
Other than within an official nomination thread, Hack Forums does not care who you think deserves an award. Do not create threads or send private messages with respect to nominations for awards.
No Response
Admins and Staff often won't respond to private messages about awards, unless they are asking where or how to donate. Members should not waste their time. You won't get a response.
The Toughness of Achieving Awards
Awards are intentionally hard to get. If everyone had them, they would have no meaning. Omniscient gives out awards with great discretion, so don't expect them to just be handed out.
Paid Awards
Some times when members are large donators, Hack Forums likes to show appreciation by giving the user other awards. We do not sell awards per se, with the exception of the Brony award.
Suggesting Awards
Hack Forums does not take award suggestions. Awards are implemented at the will of Omniscient. Do not private message Staff suggesting to add any awards. Awards will be added when seen fit.
Other People Donating for Others
The only award that is allowed to be Gifted is the Bitcoinage award, the Litecoinage aware, and Gift award, due to the fact that they are non-reversible, and do not count toward the Master Donator award.
