- HackForums.net launched on the 2nd of May 2007. Omniscient posted the topic announcing the launch here.
- The first thread ever was posted in the hacking section and of the entire forum, found here.
- The member Kuroda_Shun became staff. He was the first member to be promoted.
- The member Codine became the sites second ever staff member.
2008
- Omniscient added a Lounge section to the forum. It currently has over 5,000,000 posts.
- The member Hanzo became an admin of the site
- The member Crow became staff.
- The member sangederomin became staff.
- The member bsdpunk became staff, documented here.
- Hack Forums was compromised due to moderation abuse, documented here
- The member Raiseilord became staff, documented here.
- The members InfamousBytes, Knight120891, Psinetic and Simon Parker all became staff.
2009
- The member Psinetic was removed from the staff team, documented here
- The member VipVince became staff. You can read more here.
- The second April Fools prank was pulled on Hack Forums, where it had looked like the FBI had shut down the site. Omniscient later confirmed that it was an April Fools prank.
- The member iBruteForce became staff, documented here.
- The member GhostExodus was arrested for hacking into a hospital's air-conditioning system
- The Hack Forums Twitter account was set up.
- Omni decided to do a giveaway in celebration of reaching one million posts, in which the winner would receive 10,000 Zimbabwe dollars.
- The member Vaqxine became staff, documented here.
- The member The Rated R Superstar became staff.
- Omni tweeted that he was going to close Hack Forums.
