| Biography = Although Viral Dragon joined September 30, 2008, he lurked in the background of the forum for about a year prior, closer to when Hack Forums first opened. He felt compelled to officially register after he saw a topic in which a user was getting what he felt was bad advice. Since then, he has kept a constant presence on the forum, with his main goal always about educating other users in various fields of hacking and computer-related topics.

Viral Dragon has been a member several groups, as well as leader of some. His past leadership positions have included the groups Reverence, Eminence, Wifi Gang (for a short period of time after Eminence changed its name), Root, Coders and Reviewers. His leadership has been notably strict, not letting members go inactive or sit in a group without giving some form of contribution. He went inactive and was removed as leader before Root was disbanded and the leaders were banned. He was also working to revamp the Reviewers group as it was closed by Omniscient. He passed leadership of the Wiki division of the Writ3rs group to [[Ethereal]] in December 2014. On September 9, 2013, Viral Dragon was made a Mentor, and in August 2014, he was made a member of the Hack Forums Staff.

Viral Dragon's personal life does cross into the forum on occasion. In December of 2012, he fell ill to the point of needing hospitalization. This interfered with several of his leadership positions, including the Writ3rs, whose Wiki team saw a temporary change in leadership while he was away. Although he went inactive in posting, he says he "kept tabs" on what was happening around the forum. In December of 2013, a mass of tissue was found on his brain, following seizures that would happen at random, every four months or so. His health following the discovery of what was eventually a benign brain tumor has taken a toll on his leadership activity on Hack Forums, although he kept his activity as staff constant.

In the fall of 2013, rumors were spread over Tiny Chat and other venues that Viral Dragon was an undercover FBI agent, a title that is not looked upon with favor among the general Hack Forums community. This led to numerous members asking Viral Dragon for confirmation. His answer has always been the same: he doesn't work for them in any way, shape or form. Omniscient has also stated that the rumors are of no importance to him.

Viral Dragon's wife [[iceybunneh]] is also a member of Hack Forums and they have been seen posting together in the Innuendo section.

===Editors===
Editors are responsible for ensuring that journalists' articles are of exceptional quality by editing, revising, and proofreading them prior to publishing - this includes the checking of bb code for broken links and correcting improper formatting. Compilers are expected to have compiled each post of the HF News every Saturday, leaving Sunday for the Editors to complete their work. To equalize the workload, Editors' will regularly rotate their responsibility through each post of the HF News, as organized and assigned by the Editors' Schedule. (Should you feel the suspicion of plagiarism, you are expected to pursue the doubt, investigate, and inform Sir of your findings should they be conclusive. Plagiarism is unacceptable on any level and is a dismissable offence.)

===Compilers===
Compilers are expected to compile their assigned post of the HF News in a timely fashion every Saturday. Which post you are supposed to cover may be determined by viewing the HFNT Members List and checking which specific position you are assigned. (1st = 1st Post, 3rd = 3rd Post, Reserve = Reserve, etc.) Using this information, you must use the proper canned format as located under Canned Post Formats and correctly compile it from the already-posted sections in the News group subforum.

===Journalists===
Journalists must transcribe a variety of news into an easily-digestible form for the Hack Forums community every Friday. Your job is to research and write the news for your assigned section (often with a partner) on a weekly basis and without any degree of plagiarism. You are generally given creative control over the topics that you choose to cover, but the length of each article should be at least a paragraph - meaning four or five reasonably sized sentences. Make sure the title covers the entirety of the article's contents, focuses on the main idea, and is easily read. Also use this website to reference proper capitalization techniques. The number of necessary articles depends upon the section to which you are assigned and can always be found under Section Sizes. Always take the time to revise your article before you post it, our Editors are only there to catch anything that slips through the cracks.

===Interviewer===
Interviewers are given autonomy in regards to their interviewee, the questions they ask, and the color-scheme of their interviews (as long as it does not conflict with another interviewer's color scheme); however, each interview should contain at least 12 questions and be formatted correctly, as canned above in Canned Post Formats. Interviewees can be found in the Interview Applications thread stickied in the HF News section or selectively picked from the entirety of Hack Forums for nearly any reason. It is advised that you do not solely pick friends to interview and that members involved in notable or newsworthy events be given preference for interviews. It is also recommended that you keep a backup interview for emergencies.

===Graphical Artist===
Graphical Artists are in charge of an assigned portion of graphics for the HFNT. Typically these include the "GFX Gallery," "Comics," and thread layouts. Never, fucking ever, use puush for graphics. Imgur only.

===Task Manager===
Taskmaster will make sure articles get in on time by sending reminder PMs, organizing last-minute covering, and orchestrating the Reserves as a whole.

The header banner of the website told users that there had been suspicious IP activity on their account and their account had been disabled, although they kept posting privileges. To make their account secure, a member was supposed to go to http://www.hackforums.net/accountrecovery.php within 24 hours, stating that there had been a user named 'mil cent os' had something to do with it, which was an anagram of Omniscient himself.

The website banner was also changed to the Cloudflare loading icon, making it seem like there was a DDoS attack or downtime, which was not the case.

| Biography = Vinnie joined Hack Forums on December 14th, 2010. He was attracted to the forums because of his passion for computers, booters and server stress testing, DNS, and network security, having come from the Darkode community. He left after his searches proved fruitless, but came back to Hack Forums with his cousin [[Kohsti]] in 2012. The two began assisting other forum members with bots, RATs, and botnets to gain reputation and notoriety on the forum. The member Gold got Vinnie and Kohsti involved in a RAT Help Desk operated by the [[Illuminati]] group, giving them a significant boost to their credibility. He upgraded to [[L33t]] at the same time as Kohsti and Gold.

Using the knowledge learned from RATting other users, Vinnie and Kohsti amassed a great deal of wealth setting up other Hack Forums members' RATs and encrypting their servers for further RAT usage. Vinnie applied for and was accepted to [[Respawn]], his first group on HF, where [[Bugga|bugga]] noticed his skills and invited him to [[Propitious]]. Vinnie became a regular user in [[BELLAGIO]]'s "Parlaying" TinyChat room, where he befriended many other Hack Forums users and gained a notable reputation as a friendly and intelligent member. BELLAGIO subsequently invited him to Illuminati, having been impressed with Vinnie's intelligence and personality. Similar to their L33t upgrade, Vinnie and Kohsti simultaneously upgraded to [[Ub3r]] and celebrated by giving each other +3 reps.

Vinnie eventually became a leader of Illuminati after bugga departed from the group. When BELLAGIO expressed his intent to sell the group, Vinnie intervened and purchased the group from him alongside [[Anonymous]]. The two became co-owners of the group, and developed several products that generated a significant amount of revenue for the pair. Seeing his potential, Vinnie partnered with Anonymous to purchase [[Legion]], then known as [[The Corporation]] and owned by [[Tibit]].

<blockquote>BELLAGIO wanted to sell Illuminati, so I ended up asking Anonymous to partner up with me. He was a nobody at the time, but accepted the offer and we went 50/50 on Illuminati. Anon was the owner of the group, and I led the group fully. We had the Illuminati and Legion stresser, giving us $8,000 per week.</blockquote>

Although Vinnie's background was in black hat hacking, Legion became a grey hat group as a result of Omniscient's ban on black hat discussion and activity. This put them at odds with [[Root]], a similarly minded hacking group. There was significant enmity between members of the group, and tensions rose over time. Just over one month after the group was founded, the payment database for member upgrades was compromised and the personal information of thousands of members became public. The information was allegedly compromised with the intent of revealing the details of Legion members in specific. In response, Omniscient deleted the Root group and closed the accounts of [[Castle Bravo]], the group's owner, [[RyanC]], and [[Starfall]], two leaders of Root.

Among Vinnie's friends on Hack Forums was Judge Dredd, then an administrator. Judge Dredd accidentally [[Rep Kill|repkilled]] Vinnie without any apparent reason. In response, Vinnie compromised the accounts of various forum members including Tibit, [[mad]], and bugga. His mind was clouded by his fury but he didn't care. He leaked personal conversations with Judge Dredd and other notable members, and revealed his hacking of many other accounts outside of those already mentioned. The details of the leaked conversations revealed evidence of apparent malfeasance. Legitimate or not, Judge Dredd resigned from his administrative position on good terms with Omniscient, and was given the [[Complexity]] usergroup. Judge Dredd was retained as a Staff member, however.

Vinnie sold his half of Illuminati back to Anonymous, and purchased [[WiFi Gang]], changing it to [[Legacy]]. The group was paid for by one of Vinnie's customers, who had paid him and [[Apple J4ck]] over $137 thousand dollars for a series of jobs. Its purpose as a gaming group remained across all its versions, with the exception of [[The Lannisters]], later taking the form of [[Instinct]] and [[Nightfall]]. Vinnie later purchased [[The Alliance]] and changed it to [[Null]], alongside [[T3h Hack3r]] and [[Shanks]].

In December of 2014, Vinnie was arrested for alleged implications in the LizardSquad hacks across the world and for PayPal fraud. Both of the charges were dropped due to the lack of evidence against him, however.

At the end of the road, Vinnie is leaving Hack Forums because of his previous involvement with Darkode and his drama with [[Understalker]]. Omniscient has kindly asked Vinnie to leave the forum, both for his own safety and the forum's safety.

| Biography = Although Viral Dragon joined September 30, 2008, he lurked in the background of the forum for about a year prior, closer to when Hack Forums first opened. He felt compelled to officially register after he saw a topic in which a user was getting what he felt was bad advice. Since then, he has kept a constant presence on the forum, with his main goal always about educating other users in various fields of hacking and computer-related topics.

Viral Dragon has been a member several groups, as well as leader of some. His past leadership positions have included the groups Reverence, Eminence, Wifi Gang (for a short period of time after Eminence changed its name), Root, Coders and Reviewers. His leadership has been notably strict, not letting members go inactive or sit in a group without giving some form of contribution. He went inactive and was removed as leader before Root was disbanded and the leaders were banned. He was also working to revamp the Reviewers group as it was closed by Omniscient. He passed leadership of the Wiki division of the Writ3rs group to [[Ethereal]] in December 2014. On September 9, 2013, Viral Dragon was made a Mentor, and in August 2014, he was made a member of the Hack Forums Staff.

Viral Dragon's personal life does cross into the forum on occasion. In December of 2012, he fell ill to the point of needing hospitalization. This interfered with several of his leadership positions, including the Writ3rs, whose Wiki team saw a temporary change in leadership while he was away. Although he went inactive in posting, he says he "kept tabs" on what was happening around the forum. In December of 2013, a mass of tissue was found on his brain, following seizures that would happen at random, every four months or so. His health following the discovery of what was eventually a benign brain tumor has taken a toll on his leadership activity on Hack Forums, although he kept his activity as staff constant.

In the fall of 2013, rumors were spread over Tiny Chat and other venues that Viral Dragon was an undercover FBI agent, a title that is not looked upon with favor among the general Hack Forums community. This led to numerous members asking Viral Dragon for confirmation. His answer has always been the same: he doesn't work for them in any way, shape or form. Omniscient has also stated that the rumors are of no importance to him.

Viral Dragon's wife [[iceybunneh]] is also a member of Hack Forums and they have been seen posting together in the Innuendo section.

| Biography = Although Viral Dragon joined September 30, 2008, he lurked in the background of the forum for about a year prior, closer to when Hack Forums first opened. He felt compelled to officially register after he saw a topic in which a user was getting what he felt was bad advice. Since then, he has kept a constant presence on the forum, with his main goal always about educating other users in various fields of hacking and computer-related topics.

Viral Dragon has been a member several groups, as well as leader of some. His past leadership positions have included the groups Reverence, Eminence, Wifi Gang (for a short period of time after Eminence changed its name), Root, Coders and Reviewers. His leadership has been notably strict, not letting members go inactive or sit in a group without giving some form of contribution. He went inactive and was removed as leader before Root was disbanded and the leaders were banned. He was also working to revamp the Reviewers group as it was closed by Omniscient. He passed leadership of the Wiki division of the Writ3rs group to [[Ethereal]] in December 2014. On September 9, 2013, Viral Dragon was made a Mentor, and in August 2014, he was made a member of the Hack Forums Staff.

Viral Dragon's personal life does cross into the forum on occasion. In December of 2012, he fell ill to the point of needing hospitalization. This interfered with several of his leadership positions, including the Writ3rs, whose Wiki team saw a temporary change in leadership while he was away. Although he went inactive in posting, he says he "kept tabs" on what was happening around the forum. In December of 2013, a mass of tissue was found on his brain, following seizures that would happen at random, every four months or so. His health following the discovery of what was eventually a benign brain tumor has taken a toll on his leadership activity on Hack Forums, although he kept his activity as staff constant.

In the fall of 2013, rumors were spread over Tiny Chat and other venues that Viral Dragon was an undercover FBI agent, a title that is not looked upon with favor among the general Hack Forums community. This led to numerous members asking Viral Dragon for confirmation. His answer has always been the same: he doesn't work for them in any way, shape or form. Omniscient has also stated that the rumors are of no importance to him.

Viral Dragon's wife [[iceybunneh]] is also a member of Hack Forums and they have been seen posting together in the Innuendo section.

HijackThis was formed by Valiant on June 17th, 2010, while the name change to the Malware Removal Team came about in December of 2012. They are currently the only group on Hack Forums to have a section that all members of Hack Forums can view. In this section, users who believe their computer may be infected with a virus are able to follow a set list of instructions, then are able to make a thread that will help disinfect their machine (after following instructions from a graduate).

This group was the second to last new group to have been purchased on Hack Forums, given [[Complexity |Complexity's]] inception following [[Judge Dredd |Judge Dredd's]] demotion. Talks to buy the group were in progress prior to [[Omniscient |Omniscient's]] announcement that groups were no longer being sold. On October 1st, 2012, the group opened its doors to invitation.

The meaning behind the group was nothing short of a love story. The story is said to go:
<blockquote>A long time ago, three years ago to be exact, there was this girl who loved this boy madly (in fact they were both deeply in love) and they had cute things they share with one another. But these cute things had deeper meanings you see, they meant more than words. The two lovers would experiment with words to express their feelings, and 143 came first. </blockquote>

The meaning of 143 was as follows:

*3 = 3 letters in You.

Since its formation, the group had been one of the biggest contributors to Hack Forums. The group had often shown its compassion for the community with some of the largest giveaways Hack Forums has ever seen, time and time again. Many of the users also contributed in one of the biggest help desks in the [[Innuendo]] section.

In the past when asked what the rest of the community should expect to see of 143 we were given the following response:
