| History = The Complexity user group got founded on the 10th of May 2013, at the request of [[Judge Dredd]] after his return from demotion as one of the [[Administrators]] of Hack Forums. The application got honored by the owner of Hack Forums, [[Omniscient]]. There was some initial controversy surrounding the group's foundation, which has since faded. The team focuses included monetizing, computer hardware, GFX design, gaming, coding, web design and security, and most computer-related topics.

Approximately a month after its creation, on the 13th of November, 2013, [[Judge Dredd]] put the group up for sale. However, [[Judge Dredd]] decided against selling the group 8 hours after publicizing the idea.

On the 16th of November, 2013, the group was open for recruitment, with 25 spots available. However, membership came at a price.

Three membership packages were offered:
# Gold Membership - $100: The ability to post only 2-4 times a week in the subforum.
# Silver Membership - $50: The ability to post only 4-6 times a week in the subforum.
# Bronze Membership - $30: Mandatorily posts 7-9 times a week in the subforum.

Those with bronze membership must participate in at least one group activity, while those with a silver or gold membership can take part voluntarily.

Over the next few months, three new memberships became available. The first one, "Business membership," was announced on the 21st of December, 2013. A user with Business membership was added to the group and permitted to launch and advertise their products backed by the group for a one-time payment of $100 (USD). On the 27th of December, 2013, the second membership got announced: "Black Diamond membership." A user with Black Diamond membership was given an opportunity to join any one of the group's sectors for a one-time payment of $50 (USD). Lastly, on the 1st of March, 2014, the "Spring Break membership" was announced, which is identical to the predecessing "Black Diamond membership," except that it cost $79 (USD) instead of $50 (USD). All of the memberships mentioned above accepted either BTC or PayPal, except for the Black Diamond membership, which was BTC only.

On the 1st of April, 2014, the group became [[Infamous II]] after the original [[Infamous]] was sold and converted to [[Zero]]. All members of Complexity who did not pay for membership got exiled from the group as a consequence of the conversion, which caused some momentary controversy.

| Introduction = Due to the logistics of the group's transition (as discussed later), there was no formal introduction, and the group's directive was undefined outside of their motto. | History = Upon the transition from [[Complexity]] to Infamous by the same owner, [[Judge Dredd]]. Which occurred on the 1st of April, 2014, recruitment into the newly-formed group became a priority due to many of the members of [[Complexity]] (and therefore Infamous) got removed. So, each month [[Judge Dredd]] proposed a one-time paid entry into the group on several occasions. In fact, on a monthly basis, stretching out to a total of three consecutive months. However, this is speaking purely for members. There is one instance in which a leadership position became available for purchase.

==== Membership recruitment ====
Firstly, the "Johnny's Apple Seed Paid Recruitment" was proposed on the 6th of April, 2014, for which members were expected to pay $79.00 (USD) via PayPal only. Three spots were available when the recruitment got initially proposed.

However, a couple of conditions applied:
# If you have a legit scam report on Hack Forums, then you will be denied membership.
# If you get kicked for violating the rules/policies of either Infamous or Hack Forums, then you must pay the full amount again to rejoin.

Secondly, the "Kick Off To Summer Paid Recruitment" got proposed on the 12th of May, 2014. While the price for entry remained the same, other terms and opportunities had been revisited seemingly the better. Firstly, 12 spots were available at the beginning of this juncture. Although, these places were filled approximately in a month. Secondly, rather than it being a PayPal-only transaction through [[bugga]], applicants then had the opportunity to use BTC via [[Judge Dredd]].

On the 18th of June, 2014, reopened recruitment with the intention of acquiring (in total) 150 members. Hence the title "The Road To 150 Members."
The terms mirrored that of the previous recruitment proposal. However, with it was noted explicitly that an applicant who instigates a chargeback would be kicked and blacklisted from the group. Regardless of conspicuity, it is safe to assume that this goes for all prior and future recruitment into the group.

==== Leadership recruitment ====
After membership recruitment came to a satisfactory conclusion, a single leadership position became available for purchase on the 27th of June, 2014. [[Judge Dredd]] was quite clear and explicit on the terms and perks which an Infamous leader must abide upon acceptance of this opportunity.

* A leader may add/remove members and will have the opportunity to create their own sector.
* By making $1,000.00 (USD) monthly payments (at the first of each month) for this position, you agree that you will discuss the adding of new members with the owner of Infamous.
* That you will follow and guide members using the handbook and rules of Infamous and Hack Forums to the very best of your ability, and treat all members within the group as a team member and work as such.
* At any point, the group owner can remove you if you break any rules or policies whether it be Infamous's or Hack Forums's (in which case you will not be refunded).
* Before you accept these terms make sure you have the full amount now and have a stable monthly income to pay the full amount for each following month.
* You can cancel at the end of the month if you feel you no longer want to be a leader, but you will not get a full refund. However, you must notify at least one week in advance.

* Ability to add/remove a limit of 10 members during the duration of your leadership. (You can only remove members you have added – removing other members added by other leaders will result in a warning, and the second offence will be the removal of your leadership status, in which case you will not receive a refund.)
* Ability to create a sector and pick what you want to do with your chosen members (i.e. create a monetizing group by releasing products or having a small gaming group, etc.).
* Ability to use my SMF freely along with the members you’ve added ([[Judge Dredd]]'s Personally Approved Products and Services) following my set guidelines from within that section.

The group, despite these changes, didn't hold up in the end and it ended up being sold to [[Realizm]] to be rebranded into [[Titans]].

| History = Previously, the group was known as [[Minecrafters]]. It got later rebranded into Root by the owner, [[Castle Bravo]], as [[Minecrafters]] disbanded due to the inactivity which followed the resetting of the Hack Forums Minecraft server. The original purpose of Root got officially announced on the 10th of April 2012. Where [[Castle Bravo]] and [[Viral Dragon]] (Leader at that time) declared that the group is a general-purpose computing group which aimed to share knowledge related to computing and offers general help to members of the group.

On the 8th of June, 2012, [[Castle Bravo]] posted two threads announcing that Root is accepting all applicants, which were closed two days after. On the 11th of June, 2012, a day following the apparent end of the incident as mentioned above, [[Castle Bravo]] put the group up for auction starting at $250 (USD). The auction ended on the 21st of June, 2012, with [[Ignite]] offering the highest bid of $2,100 (USD). However, [[Castle Bravo]] did not follow through with selling the group. On the 29th of July, 2012, [[Castle Bravo]] further presented his doubts about Root's direction by requesting the opinion of Hack Forums members via a [https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2722495 public thread] regarding whether or not he should bring back [[Minecrafters]]. However, Root remained. One last time, [[Castle Bravo]] attempted to sell Root at a starting bid of $4,000 (USD), or $4,500 (USD) buy-it-now. However, the group did not sell and continued to remain under the ownership of [[Castle Bravo]]. Somewhere between these events, [[Castle Bravo]] gave [[Starfall]] and [[RyanC]] full reign over the group as leaders and became detached from the group's affairs. It was the time the group focused on hacking related topics. The group was very exclusive, and just about all activity was off-site in the group's private IRC.

Unfortunately, particular members of the group (mainly [[RyanC]]) associated themselves with disallowed black-hat activity and caused general mischief on the forums, causing [[Omniscient]] to exile said members from Hack Forums and removed the group.{{HFQuote|The Root group is closed. | Introduction = The Executives is a group formed with the intention of bringing like-minded entrepreneurs who are talented in their respective fields to facilitate significant income. The group primarily has its roots in areas such as e-commerce, crypto currency, investing, and development and business. However, the group also discusses gaming and similarly unrelated topics off-site.
| History = On the 1st of August, 2017, [[topdog77]] purchased [[The Order]] from [[Krave]]. As of the 12th of August, 2017, the group is currently only open to recruitment for the '''Developer''' division, which comes with some perks non-existent to those who got recruited into other divisions.

Such perks include:
* Buy-in fee completely waived, as long as you help contribute
* Special developer rank in the group's Discord
* A cut of profits from projects worked on / help develop
* Potentially paid time to work on projects beyond the "contribution" requirement

Of course, the group has a set of defined requirements which an applicant must meet to be considered. The Executives explicitly forbids projects of a grey/black hat nature.

Other requirements include:
* The individual to be fluent in at least three distinct programming languages
* The individual contributes to monthly projects (which are defined by [[topdog77]] and leaders)
* The individual has no open scam reports

While recruitment as a '''Developer''' is open, the group is rather exclusive: only 13 out of approximately 300 individuals in total got accepted at this time. | History = On the 6th of June, 2017, [[630]] and [['Fox]] purchased [[Aequitas]] from the owner of the group, [[ra1d]], for 20 Ethereum (approximately $6,000 USD). The group officially belonged to [[630]] and [['Fox]] at 3:41 PM. Ownership of the group is distributed equally between [[630]] and [['Fox]]. However, neither wished to play an active role as leaders of the group, so [[Makaveli The Don]] was appointed as leader. The group was created under [[Makaveli The Don]]'s vision, who continues to control the group while overseen by [[630]] and [['Fox]]. Thus, Influence was born. On the 21st of June, 2017, the group opened its doors for recruitment. On the 7th of July, 2017, the doors were closed. Applications were reviewed during the time it was open, as well as the day following closure of the recruitment thread. Each applicant was given the opportunity to be recruited into any one of four distinct divisions, each with unique leaders, projects, and goals.

The divisions are defined as follows:

However, the Coding Division has since been disbanded. Soon after, on the 16th of July, 2017, the doors were reopened. At this time, only two divisions are open to recruitment. However, one of the divisions is new and is dubbed the "GFX Division." The other division which is also open to recruitment is the aforementioned Reviewing Division. Due to the diversity and demand of the division, The General Hacking Division is comprised of three independent sectors, each led by a single, unique member of Influence. Sector leaders are to report to an assisting leader, who reports to [[Makaveli The Don]].

The sectors for the General Hacking Division are defined as follows:
# Beginner Hacking
# E-whoring
# RATs & Crypting

Currently, no other divisions are segregated into individual sectors, as other divisions are not as diverse in nature. Leaders of each division/sector are identified as capable and responsible for choosing potential recruits. The logistics are such that a division/sector leader will compile a list of potential recruits, which is sent to executives of the group, who then send back a filtered version of the list which is based on each user's contributions, post quality, and general attitude, with which the corresponding leader will use to invite chosen applicants into the group.

Recruitment into the group, regardless of the division, requires that members meet the following requirements:
* You must have no unresolved deal disputes.
* You must have at least 100 posts.
* You must have a positive reputation.
* You must not have a warning level greater than 20%.
* You must be active and social.
