| Biography = Factor8™ is interested in PC security and troubleshooting. He is also interested in other activities with things such as outdoor activities, sports, and economics. Managing is also one of his biggest interests.

Factor8™ first joined Hack Forums on September 27, 2009. He joined because he was searching for a place to spend some time and have more online activity. He also wanted to broaden his knowledge and learn more about computer security. Hack Forums is the first forum that he has ever registered for. When he was a normal member, Factor8™ had no goals and would only browse the forum and read threads that he found interesting. Only after becoming an Ub3r member did he start to become more active and contributive to the forum by participating in money exchanging. It was only until he became a staff member (and then eventually an admin) when his priorities started to change. Being a staff member entailed being assigned to moderate the forum and check reports. Later as an administrator, he was tasked to recover the accounts of members. Over the years he has become close to a few members that have made an impact on him during his Hack Forums career such as: [[cobija]], [[kutmustakurt]], and [[Rusty_v]]. Factor8™ has contributed a lot to the forum by being a part of Staff and being an administrator. This did not hinder him from being a successful currency exchanger.

It really feels awesome when I do escrow deals and members trust me blindly with money and other details. That trust is something which I really cherish. | Biography = Xch4ng3 signed up for [[Hack Forums]] on June 3, 2009. He found about the site due to his interests in reverse engineering and eventually he saw a link to the site through another forum. Since joining, Xch4ng3 has always "tried to help out as many members as possible" and his efforts showed as he was promoted to [[Staff]] in 2010.

In December 2010, Xch4ng3 opened an e-currency exchange service which ran until January 2011. He decided to close his service after the dispute thread made by PikeUE.

He stepped down from Staff in February 2011. In April, he was reinstated. Xch4ng3 has remained as Staff until 2013, when he became an administrator.

Xch4ng3 has said that the member who has had the biggest impact on him has been [[Omniscient]] himself. He explained why:

Most people would have given up after the second time their forum got hacked or knocked offline yet he still somehow keeps us up and deals with his daily workload. [[iBruteforce]] was another one. | Biography = D3xus first came to Hack Forums after various Google searches on generic hacking. He was interested in what he called the "naive things," like hijacking an Xbox Live gamertag, hacking a website and "getting access to cool things." Once on Hack Forums, he found that the forum limited guest accounts from viewing threads. Despite trying to circumvent this, he registered an account.

After posting an introductory thread, a member suggested that D3xus take part in the discussion in the iPhone and iPod Touch section (now [[iOS and iDevices]]) after D3xus mentioned his passion for jailbreaking and the like. Due to a lack of individuals knowledgeable in the practice at the time and an increasing number of people who needed help, D3xus gained notability in this forum.

D3xus was drawn to the various user groups making their presence known around the forum. He joined [[Eminence]] and [[Reverence]], two groups whose focus on coding and computing-related matters appealed to him. After some time, he eventually left the groups due to events occurring in his personal life and school-related matters.

In February of 2012, he joined [[The Alliance]] and [[Techsperts]]. He led Techsperts for some time, then joined the [[Red Lions]]. The Alliance had the greatest impact on him and was helped what shape his leadership with Techsperts. However, when Techsperts changed into [[Rhythm]], he found himself giving up on the group, especially after conflicts with Rhythm leader [[Positive]]. He changed his name to +Entity around this time.

In The Alliance, he was promoted to leader of the iDevice sector. He also joined the [[Writ3rs]] group, and co-lead the [[Wiki Team]] with [[Ethereal]] while group leader [[Viral Dragon]] had been hospitalized for a time. He has also joined over ten groups on the forum, including [[Infamous]], [[Illuminati]], and [[Void]]. He was also accepted into the [[MRT]] training program in April of 2013.

In May of 2013, D3xus was directly involved in resolving the damage done by [[RyanC]]. RyanC hacked [[Tibit]]'s account, removed all Empire members and moved every thread to the Lounge. Over the course of 24 hours, D3xus moved approximately 85,000 posts worth of Empire content including group lounges, debates, internal threads and more. He remains an honorary member of [[The Empire]].

D3xus earned the [[Sticky Man]] award for the compilation of all current official Hack Forums groups. This was not the first thread of its type to try and compile all of the current Hack Forums groups, with one posted by Dread Pirate Roberts (then alabama). This lead to a disagreement between the two, which was quickly resolved when D3xus stepped aside and allowed him to take over. After Dread Pirate Roberts fell behind on his compilation, there was an explosion of other people trying to compile their own group threads, including Viral Dragon working with D3xus on a thread, which was discontinued as Viral Dragon was hospitalized. D3xus set about giving the matter a second go, working with the image and character limits of the forum. It took a month for the final thread to be prepared.

In July of 2013, he won the [[MOTM]] for the month of June.

On August 27th, 2015, D3xus created a final thread titled [http://www.hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4966197 I'm leaving Hack Forums. Good night. I'm out].

2015 was the seventh official [[April Fools|Hack Forums April Fool’s event]]. This year members were told to activate 2 Factor Authentication on their accounts by clicking on a link. The link led to a page wishing the members a Happy April Fools.

==Specifics==
The header banner of the website told users that 2 Factor Authentication had been released and visit [http://www.hackforums.net/2fa.php this link] to register. Upon visiting the link, members were show a QR Code which led to a [http://www.hackforums.net/aprilfools2015.php page] saying

Older members were expecting a prank, however, many were fooled by the 2 Factor Autentication banner because it was common knowledge that [[Omniscient]] had been working on it.

April Fools 2014

2014 was the sixth official [[Hack Forums]] April Fool’s event. This year, like in the 2012 April Fools event, members were shown that they had -10 reputation given by [[Omniscient]] and had been [[Repfuck]]ed. In addition to this, they were also prompted with a banner heading stating that their account was compromised.

==Specifics==
The header banner of the website told users that there had been suspicious IP activity on their account and their account had been disabled, although they kept posting privileges. To make their account secure, a member was supposed to go to http://www.hackforums.net/accountrecovery.php within 24 hours, stating that there had been a user named 'mil cent os' had something to do with it, which was an anagram of Omniscient himself.

The website banner was also changed to the Cloudflare loading icon, making it seem like there was a DDoS attack or downtime, which was not the case.

==Effects==
Older members have seen this sort of thing before, without the header banner. Although the banner is only used in cases where the entire forum needs to be announced, it did not fool that many people.

Omniscient did state that he received roughly four times the amount of private messages than usual, however.

2013 was the fifth official [[Hack Forums]] April Fool’s event. This year, all members were told to wait for a specific PM from Omniscient, which never came for any member. Also adding onto this, the Hack Forums News Team stated that they were ceasing production of the news due to a DMCA infringement.

==Specifics==
At the header of the website there was a bright green announcement box telling the user to check their PM inbox. Upon clicking this link they were transferred to their inbox, however they had no message from Omniscient.
The ‘Your Threads’ and ‘Your Posts’ hyperlinks were also removed from the header.

For the News Team, the official announcement from [[Sir]] stated that
<blockquote>Another forum has laid claim to the idea that they own the news system that Hack Forums currently utilizes. Seeing as it's not in the team's best interests to try to fight these allegations any longer, we've fallen to an end. At this point, we just need to pass under the waves and die with love, rather than tear ourselves apart.

Although many members fell for this prank , some were replied to first-hand by Omniscient, telling them to ‘wait until next year’ to see what the prank was.
This didn't stop members from making over 40 threads on the subject (Not including those which had been closed. Some going as far as stating that they had received their PM, just to entice a response from the other members.
In regards to the News Team, some members saw through the posts as the News had been going for years with no issue, while others fell prey to the joke.

Upon seeing a post that you had made, your reputation appeared to be -10 in red and nothing else. Upon viewing your own reputation, the message displayed was

2011 introduced the third official [[Hack Forums]] April Fool’s event. Instead of having their user profiles changed, Hack Forums users were offered a fake position in a group.

==Specifics==
A message was displayed to members who were either [[L33t]] or [[Ub3r]] that they were approved to be a trial member in a new group – ‘Lofo Prilas’
When they submitted this application, they were prompted with a congratulatory message and the link “http://www.hackforums.net/nnod.php” as their Mod Control Panel link.

Omniscient then collected these applications and the answers to the questions, and then posted the link to them all, which can be found below

1375 applications were submitted as a result from this prank.

==Overview==
2010 was the second year of the annual [[Hack Forums]] April Fool’s events, in which Omniscient plays a prank on the forum. The first year it involved Omniscient changing all members’ signatures.

==Specifics==
The event began with Omniscient changing each user’s signature to the ‘Mark of ZZoS’- an image with the text “We have your email and HF password. This is ZZoS”. When the signature was clicked, the user was taken to a Hack Forums page with a contact form. When a member tried to contact Omniscient about it, the PM prefix was set to “Happy April Fools”.
It is also confirmed that only the user could see their changed signature, while everyone else’s appeared normal.
The user ZZoS was not exempt from this prank
==Effects==
This prank initially caused a lot of confusion on the forum, where members had no idea how their signature was changed. As the entire forum was uninformed, many of them tried to PM Omniscient or change their signature at the same time. This resulted in an impromptu DDoS attack on the forum, which ended up taking it offline for some time.
