| Introduction = Polyzen's intended purpose was that of making Hack Forums a better place overall. The examples provided describing how they would do just that are by a long process of creating essential tools, providing services to members, and hosting various events that would be spoken of for days to come. Polyzen wanted to change the depraved reputation that groups were being provided with over the course of the past few years. [[iHydra]] stated that Polyzen is a mix between the user groups [[Titans]], [[Red Lions]], [[Writ3rs]], and [[Polymath]].

[[iHydra]] chose to not lead the group like previous user groups, but instead choosing to lead it like he does with [[Writ3rs]]. He practices this by splitting members into small teams based on their main skill, whether it be writing, designing, coding, or marketing. The teams would then work together to collaborate on projects and assist each other out on whatever was needed. Unlike other groups, [[iHydra]] chose to let the individual teams lead themselves rather than have the actual leader of the group watch over their every move.

| Introduction = The Lannisters was a group that focused on marketing and monetizing. The name was based off the popular HBO show named "Game of Thrones". The Lannisters were a small, but rich and powerful family within the Game of Thrones world, which is a version of what [[Vinnie]] intended to bring to the table with his now closed group.

| History = The Lannisters were very tight-knit, remaining as one of the smallest groups to have ever been a part of [[Hack Forums]] to date, with the most members at one time being twelve. The reputation of the group was that of being just a smaller version of the user group [[The Marketers]]. The group lasted less than 2 months before [[Vinnie]] decided to transform the group back into a gaming group.

| Introduction = Prism's main focus as a group was that of programming and helping their members become more proficient. While programming tended to be their limelight, they also covered topics that involved technology, computer science, and security.

| History = Prism started out as an invite only group but then soon started accepting $50 buy-ins and holding recruitments for those who have displayed skills that Prism was looking for, such as iOS developers.

The group was put in jeopardy by the user Zynogix when he posted within the subforum about creating an API that would place some of their content offsite. The intended purpose of the API was to keep their content safe from "prying eyes" and potential "rogue leaders." Zynogix went onto say that [[Hack Forums]] and the federal authorities are one in the same. [[Omniscient]] was tipped off to this thread and comment by an undisclosed member of Prism and stated that he will not allow such an API and threatened to close the accounts of every single member within the group. Zynogix was [[repfuck]]ed and had posting privileges suspended. This episode became public when a member posted it in the main [[Group and Crew General Discussions]] section, showing how the group's leaders allowed every one of its members accounts to be put in jeopardy.

| History = The group was originally [[Arcane]] before [[ViewsFromThe6ix]] bought the group and decided on its current iteration. The group focuses on sharing knowledge within the sub-forum to learn from and use to help contribute to the community of Hack Forums in any way possible. Around December 2016 the owner of Eclipse [[ViewsFromThe6ix]] received a custom Hack Forums award to give out. The first Eclipse related award was given out to [[Hash G]] on the 30th of December as the winner of the Eclipse 2016 member of the year nomination.

The group was later sold to SuperPom by [[Views]] for an undisclosed amount of money. Instead of rebranding like most groups do when they're sold, SuperPom chose to keep Eclipse as it was, only to change the aim of the group and it's members. Eclipse was changed into a group focused around debating the topics that fall within the Science, Religion, Philosophy, and Politics section, as well as helping out the community of Hack Forums in various other ways through things such as tutorials, guides, and giveaways.

This gift came as a result of a poll posted on August 1st, 2017, in which Formula1 offered to give Froggy his group if the community garnered 150 votes in favor of the motion, saying that he "didn't have time to create content required to be successful and [he] believe[s] [Froggy] is willing to". The 150 vote requirement was reached in 12 hours and the group was transferred shortly thereafter.

Currently Socialites is an invite only group, as it is still searching for graphics and preparing to become active.

| Introduction = The Black Lodge is a group based on "human experience." With being an individual, everyone has a background and a story to discuss. Within that, many of the struggles of being alive derive. Some of the best literary giants have come from those ideas. With that, many stories and ideas to share. They are a group focused on a variety of purposes but mostly pertain to music, movies, literature, discussions, and a sense of community.

| History = The Black Lodge started out just as a project under it's former group name, L'appel Du vide, before the group got rebranded as a whole. It was a mix between a lounge group and a debate group that was active in the Science, Religion, Philosophy, and Politics section. The team held both recruitment threads as well as accepted buy-ins for those who wanted automatic acceptance into the group. The recruitment threads required members to write an essay on specific topics that was clarified in the threads themselves. [[Hexicidal]] offered the buy-in price at just $25 BTC.

On top of offering a reasonable membership buy-in, a leadership position was attempted to be auctioned off by [[Nobility]] with a starting bid of $850, but without any luck. [[Hexicidal]] had the group up for sale since it's inception and found a buyer just three months after The Black Lodge got created.

| Introduction = Fortune was a general-purpose group that had several topics of interest from marketing, to graphic design, to gaming and normal lounging.

| History = Fortune was a group that didn't go unnoticed during its tenure before being rebranded. The leaders originally announced that they had no intention of accepting buy-ins and that it was going to remain an invite-only group, but that quickly changed as they soon began accepting people for as low as $10 a month. This led to many people buying in just for the userbar, eventually leading to over 200 members within two months.

Similarly to neighboring groups, the spike in members led to a dip in quality, inspiring several forum members to make threads about how low quality the group has become in the [[Group and Crew General Discussions]] section. Each of these threads regarding the quality of the group led to the general agreement, but also arguments from some of the members, as well as leaders of the group.

The same drama that overwhelmed the running of the group also beset the sale of the group. [[Positive Energy]] had a contract with [[beslim]], who was the owner, that he'd make regular payments with the intention of finally owning the group outright. When [[Positive Energy]] couldn’t meet the set payments, [[eCoLoGy]] took over said payments to [[beslim]]. [[Positive Energy]] was then accused of attempting an exit scam, but later replied that he'd pay back anyone he owed money to.

| Introduction = Valor started as general purpose group that focused on a broad list of topics such as networking, marketing, and helping others around the forum. Valor had a stint where its focus was holding contests and giveaways for regular forum members, though it eventually went back to being an all-purpose group.

| History = [[BV1 ツ]] purchased the group from [[Omniscient]] after the former owner of Blackshades, [[xvisceral]], was arrested. Once it was acquired, [[BV1 ツ]] later rebranded it to Valor.

Once it got rebranded to Valor, there were numerous members already in the group because they had paid for their membership. The members of [[Blackshades]] were given a deadline to contact [[Existence]] or risk being kicked out. Once Valor was announced, it got declared that you could no longer buy your membership and must be nominated instead, for consideration by members already within the group.

The invite-only style of the group didn't last long, as [[Existence]] soon began accepting buy-ins from people who wanted to pay to be in the group for $35. The membership fee steadily became lower and lower, eventually getting as low as $5. The low membership cost led to the team ending up with over 350 members. The influx of people started the dip in quality and activity within the subforum, as a lot of members were buying in only for the user bar.

There was an internal fighting between [[BV1 ツ]] & [[Existence]], as well as among several members. This drama led the ownership back to [[BV1 ツ]] from [[Existence]] and eventually [[BV1 ツ]] chose to mass kick over 150 of the members and later rebranded the group entirely.
