==Biography==
Roger Waters joined Hack Forums on April 18, 2011 after being linked to a thread by the member Inxy in a Skype chat. The Hack Forums link required him to register in order for him to see the content on that thread. After browsing the site for a bit, became active in a few forums, including [[The Lounge]], [[iOS and iDevices]] and [[Computer Overclocking, Customizing, and Hardware]]. During his time on Hack Forums, Roger has been active in several groups including The Empire, The Brotherhood, Complexity, Infamous, Nexus, Illuminati, and the Writ3rs. Since joining the site in 2011, Roger continued to be active, helping members in the [[Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback]], [[iOS and iDevices]], [[Xbox 360, One, and Live Gaming]], and [[Computer Overclocking, Customizing, and Hardware]] forums, respectively. In June of 2014, Roger Waters was appointed to the position of Mentor.

==Notable Events or Controversies==
*Roger Waters was repfucked and had his posting privileges revoked in May of 2013. Omniscient discovered that he had an inactive account from over a year before he had joined the site under the name 'Roger Waters'. This was discovered when Roger applied for the Ub3r rank and was later permanently denied Ub3r and regained the privileges to post again.
*Roger Waters was appointed to the position of mentor on June 3, 2014.
*Roger Waters was the last member to earn the HackerCraft Purple award, which was awarded by Omniscient himself after announcing that HackerCraft would be closing.

==Overview==
The [[Hack Forums]] L33t upgrade is the first upgrade which can be purchased by anyone, for anyone on this site. It is the cheapest and most ‘convenient’ upgrade as any member can purchase it either for themselves or another member, regardless of when they joined or their [[reputation]].

This upgrade was added to the site on May 17th, 2008 under the banner of being a ‘Subscriber’ and was a $5 fee annually, which expired and had to be renewed.
It is currently a one-time fee of $18.99 USD plus any fees.

The benefits of upgrading to the L33t status are as follows:
*Access to all forum areas
*Can use uploaded avatars
*Ability to edit usertitle
*Ability to change username
*Can close your own threads
*Lifetime upgrade
*Ability to subscribe to threads

*Allowed to use an image in your signature

==Upgrading Process==

Users who wish to upgrade an account must go to the ‘Upgrade’ link in the navigation and fill in the profile of the person wishing to be upgraded. If a member wishes to upgrade themselves, they leave this blank.
The user fills in the required billing information and pays the fee.
They are to wait up to 48 hours to be upgraded. If that time passes and they have not been upgraded, they are to PM [[Omniscient]] with their payment details.

==Conditions of Upgrading==
*Not to abuse the reputation feature.
*You are not allowed to refund/chargeback the payment, or your account will be closed and your identity will be publicized.
*You must use real information.
